Looking through different topics and doing a search hasn't brought me an answer I was seeking soo.. I shall ask here
Is there a command to use that lets me check how 'encumbered' my character is?
Please dont direct me to the HELP PROMPT thing because that's code and I dont know code and it just bugs me.
If you don't want it in your prompt then typing "stat" will tell you. It's the first line that shows up.
Also, prompt isn't a bad thing, it can really be helpful. Here's mine:
<southern sirihish | riding: a glossy, black scaled inix | light | dusk>
<H: 102/102 (unarmed) S: 94/109 (resting) V: 128/139 (walking)>
I bolded the encumbrance so you can see where in my particular prompt it is. If you need help setting up a prompt then I'm sure we'd be happy to help. :)
Extending on the knowledge -
Once you've used "stat" to determine your encumbrance, if it's more than what you need it to be, you might..
inv
to see what you're carrying in your non-slotted loose inventory. A full cistern of water that you forgot to put down last time you logged in, could tip you over your expected encumbrance by quite a bit!
and then
eq
To see everything you are *wearing.* It could be you forgot that your heavy warbow was slung over your shoulder yesterday, and you're done hunting for the week and can stow it in your locker. Or maybe you switched to your heavy armor, and need to change into a lighter outfit.
Lastly,
If you are affected by certain things, you might find yourself weakened - which of course makes your usual stuff, seem heavier than it normally seems.
This is the prompt I use when I play, it tells me all the vital stuff I find useful.

Just enter that into the game and vuala, nifty.

The last set of numbers is mana, but I never bother taking them out for mundanes.
Also, the extra \n at the end is helpful for separating the prompt form any following text making it easier to spot in spam.
