Title: Specifying craft objects?
Post by: Fragmented on June 28, 2013, 07:56:29 PM
>craft sturdy 2.sturdy 3.sturdy 4.sturdy hub
You could make a sturdy spoked wheel hub from that.
You could make a spoked wheel hub from that.

>craft sturdy 2.sturdy 3.sturdy 4.sturdy hub into spoked wheel hub
There were 2 matches, please be more specific.
You could make a sturdy spoked wheel hub from that.
You could make a spoked wheel hub from that.

So my question is.. how do you specify which one you want? Is the second object a different craft item from the first? I've tried using ' and " and <> and ( ). All to no avail. Is this a glitch in the crafting system, or am I just using the wrong syntax?

You could copy and paste the item you want as it's listed and it works that way.  I think that's the only way too.

some items I believe, I would use the 'A' right before the item. So in that case try.

craft sturdy 2.sturdy 3.sturdy 4.sturdy hub into a spoked wheel hub

Though I cannot say it worked for everything that came across that mistake and I use the 'bug' command  when I can't figure how identify them if that fails.

You should bug these in game. The "a" does not matter. You won't be able to craft the second thing, because it shares all keywords with the first thing. The first thing you could craft by using the keyword "sturdy." The second thing needs a fix from staff to make it more unique.
