Or just me? Getting the "connection timed out" deal.
I got impossibly lagged. My browser and email were working fine. But the players with me weren't lagging.
Thanks Refugee. Took a good half hour, but I just got in! Woot.
I was having issues, too, with connecting to the site and the game, but they seem to be over, for now.
Yeah, mine cleared up about the time Lukoyin said he could get in.
nm
I think it's safe to assume it happened to all of us! :o
That was a very strange event.
I sense a disturbance in the Ginka. Hmm.

Now I really want to know what happened. But I suspect it was pretty boring.

Anyone else having massive lags?
Awww why you stop connect and no reconnect Ginka.. is it because I went outside? It is isn't it? :(
it is down
Noo... It was down last sunday morning too. This is one of the few times that I can play :(
damn it. I have been able to play at all hardly due to moving into a bigger house and the house needs work ect ect. I get a morning off to myself and the mud is down :'(
By the almighty power of Morg, I command thee to return to life!
Just loaded for me
IT'S ALIIIVEEE! ALIVVVEEE!
It rebooted, not sure why. We have a ticket in with the provider.
Seems the IG Boards have been set back a few days too, so may have lost some notices in with it.
Did something weird happen with the in-game time (skipping over a few hours)? ??? Or maybe I'm just losing my mind. ???

No, no... that's not just you. Could have sworn not even 5 minutes ago was dawn. Now it's dusk. o.O
Okay, thank you. I almost started questioning my own perception of reality. :-[ I even typed out a wish and then didn't send it, because I didn't want to embarrass myself.
I bugged it, myself.
That was the quickest night I've ever seen
Thought I was losing my mind for a moment.
Little Ginka Little Ginka Let Me In

.. That's a good point, actually. This sort of thing happening is quite rare, and it's always fixed quickly, but I do wonder how many potential players are gone because of stuff like this.
I've been playing arm for a month now and I've only lost connection twice. Once there was a routing problem between me and the game that solved itself after two hours. Now this crash. It is suprisingly stable if you've ever played RPI muds before.

Are we talking active or other wise? what am I talking about surely this is the only 'active' RPI MUS
I meant when I use to play atonement and shadows of isildur the code base was hella unstable and crashes were a daily part of playing. In armageddon I've gotten two crashes in a month. Making it more stable.

Know what you meant, even though this mud seems quite active I tend to find the less active muds to be more stable
As a long-time player, this game has become a lot more stable in the last few years. As of late, it's usual that the game gets rebooted/restarted/crashes maybe once per month, tops. Maybe twice if there's been code updates going on. Which is pretty good, I think.
Merp?
Crashed.
So now after that lovely crash it isn't saying "you can't do that here" with the first prompt we put in, it is saying "You can't fill up anything from that".

Sorry, I'm not seeing that, can you go into more detail?

Well, I assume it was the same problem as with the people having to press C twice to log in. MUSHclient autologs me in, so that seemed to bypass that issue. Since it has been a problem though, the first time I log in, the very first command I put in used to say "You cannot do that here" (even if it was something like LOOK NORTH). Now it's saying "You can't fill up anything from that."
