When you are fighting and you try and mount your mount sometimes it moves away. Is the chance to mount it based on your ride skill? So as you get better at riding you will be able to mount more quickly?
Well... logically... it would be assumed so. In the heat of combat, you're not always going to be able to leap back onto your mount's back while fending off tooth and nail and blade. I would assume that, as in RL, the more familiar you are with such circumstances, the better you will be able to handle them.
