After discussion on the staff side of things we've decided to remove the (many) types of items such as fighting gloves, bracers, wrist razors and the like.
These were items that acted beyond the normal bounds of combat without respecting the rest of combat code.
As the game, and the code associated with it, continues to grow and evolve these items have become an increasing problem for staff to deal with.
Ultimately we felt they don't make sense for the game's push for realism in combat and were no longer worth the trying to keep up with the bugs they were introducing.
The items have been changed to a "A twisted lump of rags", so if you log in and find yourself wearing them, that's what happened.
It's been pointed out that some players paid dearly for these items. Go ahead and give them coins back if they request it / file a reimbursement request.
edit added by Nyr: To clarify: please file a reimbursement request through the request tool for these items if you did purchase them. You will be reimbursed the coin paid.
Please junk these items if you have them. DO NOT SELL THEM.
