How does one pronounce Luir? Loo--eer?
Lures?
I say Lers.
But I am also widely known to pronounce everything wrong.
Lerrrrrrrrz.
Huyuck yuck yuck.
Wtf, y'all talking about Armageddon out loud. Nerds.
... It's loo-ir. 8)
It's good to be back and see some new faces around the community, even if they are evil vegetables.
And it is loo-ir's.

Lure's?
That's how I say it. One syllable.
Why? If it wasn't just one syllable, PCs would have shortened it to a one syllable word by now. :D
i thought it was La-whores.
I have just always said the same way you say lure.
Like fishing lure.
*shrug*
Lors.
I've always said it like Muir, which I believe is pronounced like "fewer" with an M.
lürs
Loo-irs. One syllable.
Like "lure." Lures.
This is only because it was how Z was pronouncing it. I used to be on the "lee-oorz" train but I'm a convert.
Random thought, different name pronunciations can be really irritating when you're living with another Armer.

Oh, I always think of "lou-ears" when I think Luirs. I guess I don't enunciate. And yes, there's certain things and characters that I refuse to pronounce the way Val does. 8)
Trust me, you say "lures."
I pronouce it "That shithole between Allanak and Tuluk."
I usually got with "Lures" as well.
It rhymes with spurs.
Lurz.
Lures? Ick.
Loo-eers
I also pronounce it like "lures".
Stop saying it wrong.
Am I really the only person that says it 'Leers?'
In IPA: [lʷiɹz].
Lou-ears.
My Uncle Lou has large ears.
Lueis.
Silent 'r' I think. Or you can roll the 'r'.
Lu-eirrrrrrs.
If I were saying it wrong I wouldn't be correcting you. Ergo...
All of you are wrong, unless you play it out in game:
Beady eyes squinting up, the weathered, grizzled old-timer asks you, in elsewhere-accented sirihish:
"I ain't likin' th' way you say my hometown's name, boy-o. You sorta sound like you from hereabouts,
but I ain't buyin' it. What say we take it outside an' I teach you how to REALLY say Luir's?"
In which case, please do!
[ɫərz]
lurs likke n sllurs

Nope.
I like how that guy said it as lurz. That's what I tried to state when I meant 'loo-irs with one syllable'.
MY POSITION IS UNASSAILABLE.
I've now change from Lures to Lurz because it's cooler.
Damn Americans are raping this beautiful word. I say it's Loo-eers. As if said in French.

Kuracis are the cowboys of Armageddon. If anything should be Americanized, it is them. :D
No wonder everyone hates them >.>
*ducks*
You say potato I say potato.

I'm going to start calling it L'Outpost de Luir. Or maybe Chez Luir? ;)
Can you smell what Luir's got cookin'?
Loo-wurs.
I guess I sort of say it like Lure.
In France, they call it a Luirse with Cheese.
