I guess elves would just have springier leg-tendons. (That sentence is not something I thought I'd ever have to put in writing?....)
Edit: '"Humans are terrible athletes in terms of power and speed, but we're phenomenal at slow and steady. We're the tortoises of the animal kingdom," Lieberman said.'
...Wut?
Errrr... I wish the thread title and original post gave this a lot more justice. This look amazing and very cool to watch. I'd very much like to watch this.
Heh. I thought the vagueness sold it. :)
I actually watched it on Netflix a while back. It is absolutely amazing, no doubt. They were saying at the end the over fifty miles a day was comfortable near the end! That's almost two marathons! They also said at one point they spent seven hundred dollars on cookies just trying to keep up calorically. Plus it also provides some pretty good insight into the situations of the peoples who's countries they run through. I strongly recommend renting it, especially if running is your thing.
OMG it's on netflix?
/me watches.
Edit: I enjoyed it :)
