Why is dung suddenly very visible? I was gone a few days and sorry if some thread already covering this.
It just seems to be one type of dung object that's suddenly become visible - the others still work fine.
But yeah, it's a bit odd...
Since this wasn't put in Ask the Staff: No code changes were announced. Dung, in so far as I know, is generated in certain rooms and by certain animals. My guess is you are seeing the end result of some existing code. Chances are the reasons are IC. More mounts around? There some kind of hidden 'shitter' filling an area and you cannot see them? Most dung objects are "get"able. Someone flinging poo?
Xygax was talking about 10 year old bugs. Dung is pretty new-fangled. Unless there is a problem with it, is staff going to spend time fiddling with crap?
It is definitely different. Also what is your problem Marc? I am not demanding anyone fix anything. Chill out.
Nah, it's not people throwing or anything hidden.
Hang out with an inix for an IC day or two.

Didn't think I was being snappy :P Was suggesting possible reasons.
I have also noticed a lot more dung, but the reason is very obvious to me and it was not a code change.
My suggestion to you was simply to look in game for your answer. I cannot guarantee staff did not change something but you did not ask Staff specifically and I thought, maybe, you would find something from the above useful. But I guess not. Apologies all around
To me it is seemingly obvious there IS some kind of code change. The amount I am noticing dung even alone in isolated areas is way more. That my own mount is dropping that I always used to ride before without noticing, maybe just random chance I guess.
We have upgraded our javascript engine recently (which was the cause of the crashes and out of memory issues). We've already had to fix several scripts, this likely is the same. Could the OP post a request to the tool including a specific log of what they are seeing that they didn't see before. We may just need to adjust a script.
What?
Those crashes were because of POOP CODE?!?!?!
*laugh/cry*

Not at all.
However, you might say that
this current JS is...

pooped.

Possibly one of the funniest things Nyr has ever said.
But did anyone consider that maybe, just maybe, someone has been feeding the inix way too much at the stables, and they're pooping more than usual?
Note that this has been fixed, and it was not the poop code. Crashes were not directly related to any one script.
I have noticed that balls of dung are suddenly much more visible now. Particularly along places like Caravan Road in 'Nak, and such.
Wish dung was super visible all the time, would make for tracking easier which makes sense. I live in Oklahoma, further more I live outside of the city limits in Oklahoma. I live next door to a horse ranch and about once a week a few people take the horses down the roads for a couple of miles. You would be surprised how much and how obviously horses shit.

I think it is super visible, even outside. The recent stream of reboots just previously cleared most of them up.
