Title: Character applications
Post by: lordcooper on December 28, 2010, 02:06:24 PM
I think it could be pretty cool if we could send in character applications as a request instead of having to do it via the actual mud.

Being able to simply copy paste something already written up would be awesome.

I didn't realize I wanted this until you suggested it. Yes.

Might solve the issue of messed up mdesc popping up in game every now and again as well. I do hate it
when I see
a character come in
game with a mdesc that is all
messed
up
and out of format. Though I must say I've
been seeing it less
and less
lately. <3 majikal.

The thoughts crossed my mind a time or two.  I find myself liking it, as well.

Yes, we know.  There are some of us who don't like the request tool at all and would be put off by the very idea.

Does it have to be one or the other?

Maybe we need both.

Web based Character Applications where you can save concepts and not submit them.  Also allow for longer backgrounds, I always seem to find myself filling my background up rather quickly.

+1 JAG's suggestion.  Web-based application.

Having the option to do it either way would be awesome.  But I think requests tend to be emails back and forth, and staff would have to c/p to put the info in.

Doesn't mean it wouldn't be cool.
