I don't want to tread on any "find out IC" toes here, but where did this huge cliff in the southlands come from and is it recent, well known information that a char who's spent the last 20 years in the southlands would know about? I'd ask in game but would feel silly since my char would logically know based on his background.
Sending in a question through the request tool might be a better approach if you feel that you should already know IC. I can see where asking IC would break immersion for you, though.

lol, history docs. in addition to lacking info on this whole black moon, flood, volcano thing, they don't even mention the kanks finally dying out, much less the last time there was fire rain, tornadoes, and earthquakes in various parts of zalanthas.
