Title: tmemote

tmemote

temporary movement emote

> tmemote slowly making his way through the dimly lit streets.

Your movement is now:  "slowly making his way through the dimly lit streets."

> e

someone sees

> Slowly making his way through the dimly lit streets, the handsome, rugged bastard as arrived from the west.

Why?

Because I like movement emotes, but I'm lazy. If I have to change direction, I stop using them, especially if I don't feel like copy and pasting.

I like this. Better than having automated by the MUD client.. if one person does it, it looks awkward. If everyone does it, it looks like a part of the world.

That said, it seems like a rather low priority thing.

I'd rathern not have this, so as to avoid fostering laziness in one's roleplay.

When using movement emotes I try to mix it up as much as possible.

If I'm traveling down a road, for instance, I won't hit "up" on my keyboard to repeat the same movement previously entered. Rather, I mix things up by emoting about different ways my character interacts with the world as they travel.
