Did any of you other guys notice the new addition to the homepage?
Just noticed it now that you mentioned it.
I guess it's in preparation for the new request tool features?
Neat.
It's a better way to organize how players interact with the game. It's amazing.
although, viewing bios is broken :(
>pray morgenes
Sorry about that, bios are back.
Ma prayers are answered!!!

It's funny, I first noted the My Account link when I went to the website to view my bios. I was like "oh cool, addition to the site! *click* Pretty nifty... bio page is broke? Noooooo."
Argh.. the Java client made me think that there was a way to play past the firewall :(
Never mind, I'm moving to a new house without a firewall next month. You know you're addicted to Armageddon when you move just to play.
Yay!!!
Just noticed that. Thanks!
You know what'd be great? The ability to put in new bio entries using the web interface. Then I could do it from work.

That would be pretty cool.
What's the feeling on being able to add new bio entries for dead characters?
Never? As many as you'd like? One, as sort of a conclusion?
Not saying it's possible, just asking.
As many as I want! But one concluding entry would be fine, too.

If I could add bio's online, I would have 1 a day.

I would enjoy being able to put bio entires in with the web interface.
I would think one should cover it for dead characters. 'This is what happened when my character died/went away.' If you want the character to have a real story (like you would if you had multiple bios) then you should have kept playing them. But it also might help remind you, later on, what exactly DID happen to that character whose bios just cut off.

Well, isn't this just the Best Thing Ever? I think it might be the Best Thing Ever.
Mmm, delicious.
That's gonna help a ton of people, Morgenes, including me. Thank you.
Thank you!
Excellent. Thank you!
I did find I couldn't add a bio entry to a dead PC though. Not sure if anyone else is having that problem.
Did you get an error message, Kassindra?
Me neither. Did some bios not get saved before a certain date or something?
Woooooooooooooooooooooot!

If a character was not in the game when or after bios were created (instead of the old single background in 'stat' system) they will not have their bios/background available through the web-tool.
What they said. Only characters that were around when we changed to the bio system will have bios in this tool.
I have updated the View Bio page to include the IC Date the bio was written.

Yeah. My character was around for the bio system. I may just have to ask staff about it.
I jizzed in my pants. This is awesome.

If you got an error about your file not being writable, try again, I went through and adjusted permissions on all files. If you still have a problem, mail morgenes at armageddon.org and include your account, character name and what you were trying to do and I'll try and help.
Excellent addition, thanks. :)
Awesome! The main reason for me rarely writing bio entries IG was due to the clunky IG writing system and the fact that whenever I started I'd get interrupted IG.
Oof. I just got a tear in my eye reading an old character's bio, reminiscing. Thanks a billion.
So happy about this! Thanks.
This is so so so awesome.

Note that it currently limits you to adding and editing entries for dead/stored characters if your account is online.
Does this just mean that if you're logged in to a character in the mud, you can't do stuff with their biographies until you log out? But you can still edit their biographies in the game?
The cold medicine makes me stupid. :-[

Hell yeah!

Yes! I've put the obituary in that I've been carrying around in my heart since...
But, when I read my bios online, I can't see to the end of the lines ???

That's weird, we ran into that while testing and changed it so that the textarea handles wrapping the text. What browser are you using?
If anyone is ever looking to try out different browsers without having to install them this is a great tool. I use it all the time (and am actually using IE8 with it now).

This is great for testing web apps on different browsers without having to install/uninstall browsers.

Only Explorer, as far as I know.
It is only a few characters short. :)

Have you adjusted your text size? Maybe try resetting that back to normal?

Yes, that is what it will be, thanks. :)
Account History = Broken. It doesn't parse correctly and multi-line requests are cut off after just a few lines, like 3.
are you clicking the far left icon of the specific request?
I'm clicking the request. You can click anywhere to bring up the details for the request. I'll try this strange button you speak of, though.
Edit: Same thing.
