Title: Follow Not Affected by Delays
Post by: elvenchipmunk on February 17, 2009, 01:42:55 PM
Hey,

Just a simple idea, I think follow should not be affected by any sort of delays. As in, if you are following a spam-walker, you can type 'follow me' and stop following them before they walk off a cliff/into gith lands/into their apartment etc.

Thanks.

P.S. Already idea'd in game.

I don't think that there is anyone that prefers it to stay the way it is now. I'm sure it's agreement all around for this idea. I've definately been fucked by the spam-walker a handful of times. Once ending up in a city a bit too magicky to be a welcomed with hugs and kisses.

Er.  That's how it used to be.  Believe it was changed so you could run and lose people, as that delay stacks up and you eventually can't follow anymore, you actually stop and have to wait.

Would be nice if certain commands weren't subject to that, though.  Getting pulled into an apartment sucks when you really didn't intend on following there.

You would still be able to run and lose people, I think. This just gives the person who is following the chance to stop following on their own. They would still have that movement delay if they want to move anywhere else.

If that ok was a "this is now implemented" ok, then thanks Morgenes  ;D
