If my PC is cleaning her apartment, is there a difference between using the arrange and the drop commands? Will the temp. stay until the next reboot?
To the best of my knowledge, it doesn't matter if you type:
arrange bong ~ rests here on the shelf.
Or:
drop bond ~ rests here on the shelf.
You'll still see:
My awesome water-bong rests here on the shelf. --- until the next reboot.
For me, the only difference is that I use arrange if the object is already on the ground, and drop if it's in my inventory to begin with.
drop bag (wincing as it slips from the edge of ~table) contents spilling out onto the floor, ~ lies on its side beneath a small table.
Wincing as it slips from the edge of a small table, you drop your large bag.

Oh, and so long as it's a save room it will retain the sdesc until you pick it up.
Sometimes, you can't pick up objects. Since you can't pick them up, you can't drop them.
But you can still arrange them...
>arrange body lies here, split in two massive pieces.

or
>drop tent
>make tent
>arrange tent Nicely snuggled next to a dune, ~ lies here, mysteriously

Nicely snuggled next to a dune, a purple and green tent lies here, mysteriously.
