Soh Lanah Kah is looking for more players! Mainly because I'm an off-peaker (GMT), and want lots and lots of people to entertain me!
If you want an 'easy-in', I've got a couple of younger sibling roles, but on the off-chance you decide you hate me, there is plenty of space, even if you want to avoid me!
Happy to help people with apps/special apps (D-elves are karma 1), and I'll nominate Forest Junkie to help out as well!
Requirements:
Are an elf
Are between the min and max ages for elves
Have pointy ears
Are looking for some outside-y RP
No magicker-types (you'll get eaten)
Think thats it...hope to see people!
If anyone has questions or needs advice to help flesh out a potential role you can turn to pms. I'll do my best to help ya'll.
SLK are my favourite tribe.
I'd toss my name in and invite anyone interested in playing a Soh, to send me a pm, but well..it's been several years since I've had a character in that tribe, and all my experiences date back to the time before it was a hard-coded delf choice, and the early months after it become one, so....I'm woefully out of date and poorly informed on the tribe's modern politics, family interactions, events, etc...
Anyway, I have many fond memories of playing a Soh, and would encourage anyone looking to get into the nitty-gritty, harsher side of delf life would do well to play a Vele or Veli.
Red Fangs are always open... that is if you think you can handle them.
Send emails to belenos@armageddon.org and/or niamh@armageddon.org.
Oi! No hijacking!
*winks at Winterless*
But no, seriously, if Soh isn't for you, Winterless is spiffy, go be a Red Fang.
Don't get stuck being a dusty tribe member, be a C-Elf.
Be equally disdained by all!
Err, I mean, yes D-elves for the win.
Soh ftw. Also, elves in general.

Yam is funny.
I've never played in the SLK but I want to at some point.

Yeah, ditto.
D-elves are where it's at.
Also, try to survive more than a few weeks, okay?

-What-? Dying in inane and stupid ways is my bag.
During my peak, there were three of us running around together, and Forest pitches up just as I am heading off. Imho, that kinda numbers is better than the cities! ;D
Except they're all elves.
If you are tired of Kaw-kaw, you could always try other tribes. AFAIK Red Fangs and Sun Runners are active these days and Akei'ta Var could always use new players as well.

You could make another thread instead of hijacking Ky's.
Other tribes musclin' in on our advert!
Seriously though, I'm agreeing with Forest Junkie, trying to advertise other clans is off topic in a Soh Lanah Kah thread is decidedly tacky, especially if you're ragging on the clan that's being advertised!
You want more clan members in Red Fangs, Sun Runers, Akei-ta Var, go make adverts, praise them, extoll their virtues. If you're not interested in (playing/praising) Soh Lanah Kah, posts are not required in this thread. Its just plain rude.

Kah. More d-elves is good, but putting a clan down in their own advert...thats...not nice.
I do believe the title of this thread is "D-elves galore!" not "SLK galore!".
That was an over-enthusiastic error...the title advert was for Soh, nothing else. *points* No?

I think the post was self-explanatory, regardless of what the thread title said. Not trying to be rude, thanks.
Anyways, plugging SLK. My personal fav is ATV, but I've grown attached to the Soh of late and definitely think now is as good a time as ever to check them out.
Back on topic. Lose the offensive/defensive attitude and just keep talking about how awesome the Soh are.
Kah?
Kah.
Right looonsh.
I heard the Soh cured genital herpes.
They also sweat loot and bleed awesome.

Nearly solo'd a young unit of Byn with a desert elf ranger. After picking off several we moved in for the kill. PKer flag on account.
SLK: Putting the "death" back in...um...Armageddony things that ought to have death in them.
I honestly apologïze. I thought the thread is about d-elves in general, not just SLK... and I don't really like making new threads when it looks my post fits to one already existing. Perhaps you might want to change the title of the post?
Sohs sure are cool. It would be great to see some more in game. I simply thought seeing the place more populated in general would be great. And yeah, I am a bit sad that simple post about "what other tribes are active" is considered rude that wildly.

And if you point out that 'raiding' doesn't have 'death' in the word, the SLK will kill you. And then, over your bleeding corpse, explain that it does in allundean, the TRUE tongue.
I'd be in if I didn't currently have a pc. It's been a while since I've gotten my rocks off in D-elf land. Watch out if something happens to my pc any time soon. 8)

Shit. T.lands will have a -squad- if j comes. Hurry up and die asshole.
I don't see a reason to segregate which tribes recruit in a thread like this, we were fairly
successful in the past just letting it blend. You populate more than one tribe in the same
region and everyone benefits from the available roleplay.

Three Cheer! As long as it says "D-elves" I can push people toward the cool clans, not the Kahs.
Red Fangs, Sun Runners, and Stalkers = Kahtastic. (Joking with the Kah you silly anakorehumpers.)
Either way, Kah-boys are not my thing, but meh go for it if you want! Won't regret being a desert elf!!
Kah.
SLK Rocks.
Mali, where the fuck you been man?

Don't ask. You won't like the answer.
Somewhat more on topic, though, the SLK is a great D.elf clan for you players that have an irrational fear/hatred of magicker PCs. Personally, I prefer other tribes.
Also, I find the title of this thread deceptive. It reminds me of Hot Dancer posts that did the same. The subject was just about desert elves, but the thread was only about the SLK. Meh.
Been a while since I played a D-elf, might have to make a return with the Soh.
Edit: Fuck it. I'll say this:
BAWWWWW.
You should all come play with us in one way or another. All the cool kids are SLK.
My posts were titled towards the Soh, but I tended to promote Sun Runners as well.

What kind of characters are currently needed by the d-elves?
Crafters? Hunters? Warriors? Bards? F-mes?

Hi you have something in your teeth.
Delstro: D.elves could use anything. The SLK are big enough right now that two or three tews would compliment the tribe quiet well. Anything is certainly welcome.

Sun Runners could use a trader. Not necessary a crafter, but kind of merchant would be nice.
Tews, and I -think- Soh lack an armour-crafter-type. More warriors/rangers would be nice too, we always need more of them!
What are tews?

Another delf term that's being blithely spread OOC? :P
Probably not a big deal; I'm just saying.

We must destroy it before it spreads like cancer!
They might've ment a few more Soh who havn't reached full adulthood.

So what's the deal with desert elves?
Some people say you need prior staff approval to make any Desert Elf PC at all, despite having the karma. Some say that's only for magickers. Others that you can create and then wish up to join only specific Delf clans such as the SLK or Red Fangs, etc.
What's the actual process?

If you have the karma to make a desert elf PC, you should notify the tribe immortals before applying to the tribe. I don't think you need "pre-approval," per se, I think they just like to know that you're applying.
Once you're approved, there are certain clans you can join just by pointing at them on the wall in the Hall of Kings, just like with any other starting location. I don't really remember from my last desert elf PC which ones can be chosen that way, but the one I joined could be.

Just to clarify, if you're making a desert elf magicker, you do need pre-approval.
I know magicker d-elves require Immy approval.
Some clans (the ones that you can't choose from the Hall of Kings also require Immy approval.
As far as I know, SLK doesn't. Or at least, I didn't let them know before jumping in :-\

Ah, yeah, I forgot to mention that part.
The Soh Lanah Kah are awesome, it's true. But don't forget about the other elf tribes out there.
Sun Runners: The most social and flamboyant of the tribes. You will get the most varied types of interaction with these, because they are the least xenophobic of the desert elves.
Akei'ta Var: Sort of like militant treehugging hippies. Also the tribe that is most accepting of magicks.
Red Fangs: Brutal survivalists. Only the strong survive.
Dune Stalkers: Mysterious, secretive, bold, despise magicks.
Each and every one has a fascinating and colorful culture. One very important thing to keep in mind with any of these tribes is that we are adhering very strictly to clan documentation for all of these clans.

Bolded for emphasis... and for a shameless bump.
Brandon
Just because it needed bumped (and because I'm so lonely *sob*), keep in mind if everyone is waiting to play a delf until there's a bunch of them.. There won't be any!
So play a delf today!! And tomorrow! And.. you get the idea.
