Title: Draw Etwo
Post by: RogueGunslinger on April 16, 2008, 08:51:26 PM
Any one else find it really annoying that when you sheath a weapon after wielding it with Two Handed, when you draw it, it's set to EP? Then you have to 'change hands ep etwo'. Which, I might add, is a very long command to input when you get jumped, and easy to mess up...

It would be nice if a drawn weapon resets it's position to what it was before it was sheathed. Or adding a simple 'Draw etwo' command to draw your weapon to the etwo position.

Maybe I'm missing a command? That'd sure make me feel dumb...

I think there is 'draw sword etwo' or something.  Maybe 'draw sword two'?

As an oldschool etwo'er I'll share with you my sekret

draw <weapon> etwo

I have it aliased to my main weapon, as I've been aliasing almost all of my weapon drawing an sheathing commands since I started playing arm.

From the helpfile:

In order to draw a weapon immediately with two hands (i.e., have it
equipped in both hands), append the argument "two" or "etwo" after the
command.
Weapons in sheaths (e.g., wristsheaths, boots) must be drawn with the
appropriate keyword (for the sheath) appended.

Syntax:
   draw <weapon>
   draw <weapon> <two>
   draw <weapon> <etwo>
   draw <weapon> <sheath>

Examples:
   > draw sword
   > draw spear two
   > draw spear etwo
   > draw knife wristsheath

Some bows are scripted to be auto-drawn to ES even if your primary hand is empty. When I've run into one that isn't, I've had luck filing a bug report about the item in question.

It's also annoyed me from time to time that you can't pick up a small round stone, equip it to your primary hand, and throw it ... it'll equip to your secondary hand but even a "change hand es ep" just tells you something like "you can't weild that"

... ... I can't throw a rock? Why not!?

I'm no expert here, but some rocks are better for throwing than others. Some are better for bashing people over the head with.

All rocks are equal.
Some rocks are more equal than others.
