Anyone using one of these to connect to the internet and play Arm? Can you tell if lag is more of a
problem with the aircard?
I suspect significant lag is a very real possibility with any wireless connection.
There are too many variables (cell tower proximity, building materials, time of day) to give you any sort of specific "yes you will have lag" or "no you won't have lag" answer, though. Why not simply give it a try? Just don't go hunting or anything.
Lag is not a big problem. Latency is–my connection gets dropped a lot.
But I like to live dangerously.
Depending on signal strength you can expect 500m/sec-2000m/sec latency on an aircard.
I'm playing on an Air card at the moment and am not seeing any lag issues. But my computer is stationary because I'll get disconnected if I move it. I've only been on it for the past day or two so I can't give any real answer yet.
