Title: Directed Emotes
Post by: RogueGunslinger on January 03, 2008, 08:21:51 PM
I think it would be cool to direct an emote so that only one person would see it, but anyone else would have to catch it through the Watch check.

>demote Tevan kicks ~tevan under the table, his face unmoving.

Something like that.

Tevan would see: The wiry, lithe man kicks you under the table, his face unmoving.

Someone else in the room would see: you notice: The wiry, lithe man kicks the bald, fat man under the table, his face unmoving.

Don't know if this has been brought up before.

Yeah, I think it has been brought up around here somewhere, and I think it's a good idea.

Currently the only feasible way to do this is have the person 'watch' you, then do a 'hemote'... and sometimes that's not even feasible.

So yes, I think this should be implemented somehow, at least by Arm2 time.

Great minds think alike.

We both know why.

Lol, I guess Demote would be a bad command if you are in a clan.

Heh, good point. Best to think of some other syntax, but the overall idea is good.

>emote (bald) subtly boots %bald shins
The emoter subtly boots the bald man's shins, in a manner that only he would notice.

>emote (bald)(big-tit) eyes %big-tit tits.
The emoter eyes the big-tit woman's tits, in a manner that only the bald man and she would notice.

Are you talking about physical touching of bodies?

Or hand signals?

If it's hand signals, I'm not with it.  What's what the Watch skill is for.

If it's for physical touching of bodies, perhaps!
