I remember once when I was a little kid I found a wierd insect and asked my best friend's dad what it was. He walked over, squinted at it, nodded, and said, "Yeah, you know what that is?"

IT'S A BUG

Then he poked it with his finger and wiped its crushed carcass on my shirt.

I think the same applies here.
