Let's call this command "scrutinize," for temporary lack of a better word.
This command would always echo - something to the effect of:
The manly man gives the womanly woman a long, careful look.
The manly man gives you a long, careful look.
When you use this command, you'd get the long description of every piece of visible clothing/jewelry on that person.
Thoughts?

What would be the purpose of this?
The purpose being that it's annoying as hell to type 15 commands just to take in a single outfit.
Actually, missed the salient line in your idea. I thought you were proposing just the <worn on XXX> list at first glance.
You can do this with probably any client ... but no real objection if the mud deities vote in your favor.
I would never, ever use this. But not everyone is as cool as me.
The only thing I have to add to this thread is you better hope for a RETURN function (as in, [MORE] and 'Press return to continue') because otherwise, THAT'S A LOT OF SPAM!
I love to look at people's clothes and picture how they look exactly in my brain! In fact, I love clothes and jewelry and Items. I would use this.
Maybe once.
Before a mudsex.
(I'm not opposed.)
I really don't like the idea, because it can create a lot of spam.
Because of the spam, you would miss half the desc anyway.
I don't like the idea.
I like it. It's your choice if you choose to spam yourself or not. Does looking at an item of clothing someone is wearing echo? If so...I'd rather spam myself, than spam the whole room with:
X looks at Y's [something]
Over and over again.

Beux, trust me that you don't want the spam, because most of the characters usually wear matching equipment in their inventory. And the description of this matching equipment would be displayed twice. Not to mention, there are PCs out there whos inventory spams the entire screen.
You are right. It is your choice to spam yourself, but it'll seem like a waste of constructive time for the immortals, seeing how only a few players will be making use of the command.
I agree with Beux in that spam is no reason to say this shouldn't go in. Those that don't want to spam themselves don't have to. It's that simple.
However, there is no echo when you look at someone's item unless you add an embedded emote, Beux.
I think it'd be unrealistic, myself, to get all that description in such short amount of time, though. I'm on the fence on this one.
I'd enjoy this command.. it's real easy to become slightly jaded as a player and forgot what the people you interact with look like.

looking at someone's item doesn't echo

This command wouldn't give the description or equipment list of the player. Just the item descriptions.
Exactly like the output when you enter "look hat in coatstand" and get the description of every hat in the stand.
Personally, I'd never use it, I don't think, but I think more options = more better.

Didn't know you could do that, but I wouldn't be opposed.
