Title: War braids

What exactly is a war braid?  What distinguishes it from other types of braids, say like cornrows?

I honestly don't know.

I've always thought of it more as decorative braids versus practical braids. i.e. you can french braid your hair, or do all kinds of pretty weaves with it - but a warbraid is designed to keep the hair out of your way and manageable with your gear.

So that corn-rows, as you call them, would be a type of war braids.  Although I don't think that "corn rows" exist in Zalanthas and it wouldn't be a good descriptor?

I thought that war braids are sort of like those pictures.  Two braids at the front (one on either side of the face) and the hair at the back left loose.  It keeps your hair from getting into your eyes, which is handy during a war.

Yup, I agree with AC, actually, I was even going to link to a picture of the big blonde friend of William Wallace in Braveheart.. His braids are exactly the way I picture war braids.

Hmmm. Cool.

But corn-rows, or the equivelent, have no reason not to be included in Zalanthan hairstyles. They are a practical way to manage hair. The correct term for corn-rows in Zalanthas is skullbraids.

That is more what I meant, yes.
