Does smoking or curing meat have an actual effect on the quality of the food in terms of abating hunger? What I mean is, will you be any less hungry after eating a smoke piece of meat that an un-processed piece of the same meat?
In virtually all cases, yes. Unless your cooking spoils the food, at least.
But don't forget, the method of cooking/preparation will also impact how thirsty it makes you. Dried meat verses grilled steak, for example.
