Title: Sneaky Sandstorms
Post by: As Good As Dead on October 02, 2005, 09:26:05 PM

<100/105/105><walking>weather
It is a warm day.
[b]The sky is clear.[/b]
A mighty gale wind screams out of the north.
The white moon, Lirathu, is high in the sky.

<100/105/105><walking>l s

<100/105/105><walking>To the south, windy plains extend out to the ominous Sea o
f Eternal Dust.
[Very far]
Nothing.
[Far]
Nothing.
[Near]
Nothing.

<100/105/105><walking>s
Sparse sands blow across your path.
You can't see a thing; sand swirls about you!

wtf? Does anyone else see a problem with this?

I propose that if the sky is clear where you are, but there is a sandstorm to the south, when you look south, you should see:

[Near]
You can't see that far.

Simple, right? Thoughts?

Useful command.

(Though I like the idea of sandstorms obscuring your vision like darkness does, to a certain extent.)

Wow.... just when you think you've read every help file and know every command...

Thanks, Delirium.  :)

Yeah, that is the way it should work IMO.
