Title: is this brawl code
Post by: Manhattan on August 20, 2005, 02:02:04 AM
***** grabs a rough clay mug of ale from the bar and hurls it at the ***'s head.
Clay shards fly across the room amidst a spray of ale as the mug hits soundly, sending him staggering back a few steps.

was that code or what?

I saw that too and was wondering the same thing. If that is brawl code, what's the syntax? Could probably have used something like that a few times myself.

Brawl code, its one of the random messages given when you "hit X" and succeed.  You can't control it to make sure you get that message to my knowledge.

So you just use "hit <keyword>" in a tavern? I wouldn't want to end up trying to kill someone and getting dragged off by the militia.

Some taverns. Not all of them as far as I know. If you pick the wrong one it could be bad (if you don't have nosave on) or jail if you do.

Also, both you and the person you're hitting have to be unarmed, I believe.

Also, I'm pretty sure you can't use it on NPCs, so check your targets.

Spoon smacks the middle-aged bartender over the head.

This sort of confusion is exactly what we were mentioning in this thread.
