Find out IC? Honestly, I'm guessing it's quite possible that they're oysters which can be find on Shield Wall (what sorta oysters could survive and grow there I dunno).

Last I checked, the description of the item tells you basically what shield wall oysters are, and where they come from. If it doesn't...find out IC.

It would be kind of hard to find out what they really are, considering that only three people probably have that knowledge out of game. Yourself (snice you figured it out, myself since I figured it out, and the person who coded the things). Asking around in game would be futile, unless by chance he happens to ask a character played by one of those three persons. I think a better option would be to PM his account and tell him what they are, and ask him to take five real life minutes to ask an NPC or a VNPC.
sjanimal - considering that the game has existed without you for over 10 years - and considering that shield wall oysters have existed for - who knows how many of those years - and considering that dozens of players have been playing this game for years longer than you are...
Don't you think it's POSSIBLE that you aren't the only one who knows what shield wall oysters are?
Or do you truly believe that you're the only one who could possibly have ever figured something like this out?
Most people in the region of the Shield Wall should know. The items also used to be sold regularly, and their source is indicated in the item description. If you can show me you've tried to ask a local from the vague central-northern region and the information hasn't been forthcoming, I'd be happy enough to tell you off the GDB. It's already been established that this is IC information, if not the most sensitive in the world.
