I now have the urge to play the ambiguously emaciated templar, with the Sun-embroidered, gold silk Templar robe.

I like that for a Tuluki templar robe or cloak or whatever.

Fredd-
i love being a nobles health points

The sword is sharp, the spear is long,
The arrow swift, the Gate is strong.
The heart is bold that looks on gold;
The dwarves no more shall suffer wrong.

Varak:You tell the mangy, pointy-eared gortok, in sirihish: "What, girl? You say the sorceror-king has fallen down the well?"
Ghardoan:A pitiful voice rises from the well below, "I've fallen and I can't get up..."

This has become a fabulous mockery of the word templar.
I'm taking an indeterminate break from Armageddon for the foreseeable future and thereby am not available for mudsex.

In law a man is guilty when he violates the rights of others. In ethics he is guilty if he only thinks of doing so.

There's a ton of RL gender baggage hovering around the terms Lord/Lady which already spills over annoyingly IC, as in the issue of whether it's appropriate to refer to a female commoner PC as "a lady."  IMO, the less social importance is placed on recognizing and verbally acknowledging other PC's sex characteristics in circumstances where they aren't actually relevant, the better.

And if we're gonna make a special wussy word for Templars, let's have it be for male Templars.  Cuz let's be honest, female Templars are brutal.

Just a friendly reminder, as I have a moral obligation to speak out against this non-sense.

Any person who speaks ill of the Sun King, his templarate, cites his loyalty to any entity besides the the Sun King, defaces holy artifacts or buildings, incites heretical thoughts or actions, talks openly about forbidden subjects and generally behaves in a manner disrespectful to all that is holy and good is a heretic.

Protecting the minds of His serfs from being lead astray by dangerous distractions is hard work, but it's certain to pay off, with diligence.

Failure to capitalize His Pronouns is heresy.

*picks brain matter out of hair.* Thank you, Skeelz! D:

Look should be perfectly fine for determining someone's gender. If someone is in your line of sight, chances are that you actually have looked at them. Someone taking offense to your character's use of the coded look command would be pretty crummy, I say. Unless something is used along the lines of 'look (meeting ^templar gaze with a hardened stare) templar [before suddenly belching in ^templar face]', there really shouldn't be a problem.

Chances are, if you don't know a particular Templar to the point that you need to use the look command to see their gender, a look might be warranted anyways to get a look at what's actually standing before you in appearance/equipment
