Title: Analyze Question
Post by: Pungee on July 17, 2003, 07:18:47 PM
I've noticed that when I use analyze for some items it just returns my prompt with no words. Is this a bug?

From my experiences you get nothing (besides the prompt) when an item is not craftable or you don't have the proper skills to craft it.

Getting no message means it's not craftable.  If it is craftable, but you don't have the skill, you get "You cannot tell how that is made."  If you do have the skill, obviously it gives you the ingredients.

Well, it won't always give you the ingredients right? Analyze -is- a skill after all. I'm just going on what I know about skills in general, not specifically analyze. But yeah, the analyze question pops up every once in a while.

That last one has official Sanvean word.

Marc said it either means its not craftable, or you dont have the skill.
Gorobei said Marc was wrong, and that it means its not craftable.

Only partially wrong. But partially right too :)

*runs around and pees on everyone*

It's really a never ending question... People like me well forget what it means tomorrow... Someone needs to add an echo instead of that empty return... Even if it's...

Uh...? What do you want?

Sounds like an ideal use of the Idea command!
