If anyone has a picture of a city covered in SAWDUST, that's what Tuluk looks like right now  :o
"When I was a fighting man, the kettle-drums they beat;
The people scattered gold-dust before my horse's feet;
But now I am a great king, the people hound my track
With poison in my wine-cup, and daggers at my back."

You have no idea how much this has helped me envision my character while roleplaying! Thanks!

It's probably a hare, not a rabbit.
Any questions, comments, or condemnations to an eternity of fiery torment?

Waving a hammer, the irate, seething crafter says, in rage-accented sirihish :
"Be impressed.  Now!"

Those are some awesome photos.
Varak:You tell the mangy, pointy-eared gortok, in sirihish: "What, girl? You say the sorceror-king has fallen down the well?"
Ghardoan:A pitiful voice rises from the well below, "I've fallen and I can't get up..."

With appropriate roleplay of course.

That you know about.

In Tuluk, there -is- -no- Elven Market, this is according to the Staff themselves, BTW...

There most especially is not one that looks the way the picture you were referring to does.

If a large open plaza of an Elven Market -was- within Tuluk it would most certainly not be an In Character secret.

Thanks for playing, though.   :-\

And, as we all know, the staff always tell the truth about everything IC, in clear and easy to understand sentences.

Also, there -is- an elven market in Tuluk. In fact, that's information I can put on these boards, since 'tis in help map tuluk.

Tribal Market =/= Elven Market

Ever been in there?  Notice all the human tribals?  Okay then!

I seem to remember it isn't the tribal market. What I remember might not be there since the Tuluki Ruins got done up.

Okay, you win.  ::)

I'm sorry if I'm being a dick about this, it's just that I was having some conversations with various staff of the past few months about why it is totally fucked up that there ARE NOT any Elven areas within Tuluk when a full THIRD of the population is Elven.  It is something that bothers me greatly, and I really wish there WERE an Elven market or a place where Elves were the dominate presence, but there isn't.  And until just the other day I was told there was no way that this aspect of the game would ever be fleshed out.  Now there is hope.  Rejoice.

At the moment, I'm sort of envisioning Tuluk to look like this:

Oh my god he's still rocking the sandwich.

I tend to imagine Tuluk as New Orleans.  Culturally pluralistic.  On the surface, a big party where everyone is welcome.  No one bothers to prosecute crime, and under the glittering surface it's quite dangerous.  Both cities have survived large-scale disasters.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion...I don't think it's very analogous though.
