Premise: Some food objects require an amazing number of eat commands, which is awesome for RP scenes, but can be a (minor) pain for those solo moments. Devour, as a command, would simply use a single command to knock back a food item in one take.
Implementation:
>devour stew
You devour a hot gurth-shell stew.
I like this a lot. Not sure how it would work code side but if doable, sweet.
I dig this.
Agreed. I hate stew, soup and all the other endless food items. This or change the items to be three uses of eat or less to finish it.

Please no. I once had a character live for
weeks if not a month on one very hydrating bowl of soup. It was great.
(totes in favor of a devour command, just like I love the sip/taste commands, for roleplay reasons. Maybe we can add guzzle or similar for liquids just for complete feature parity.)
