Title: money faucets and sinks
Post by: Terbama on December 27, 2015, 08:02:35 AM
Hello all!  I am a new player so bare with me.  I started my first character as a merchant, and so one thing I want to get a grasp on is how the virtual economy of this world works OOCly.  Can somebody give me a breakdown on how coins are generated and destroyed in this game?  some that I already know:

coin faucets:
your newbie coins
selling items to NPC merchants

coin sinks:
buying items from NPC merchants
dying in a way that your coins are not recoverable by another PC

thanks in advance, I am having a blast and am already hooked on this amazing game!

faucets:
automated jobs such as Salt Gathering (http://www.armageddon.org/help/view/Salt%20Gathering), Dung Collecting  (http://www.armageddon.org/help/view/Dung%20Scraping)or Spice Sifting (http://www.armageddon.org/help/view/Spice%20Sifting).
weekly payment for working in a clan.

coin sinks:
buying food and drinks from NPC merchants to sustain your character.
rent of an apartment or store room.
renting animals in stables.
renting silt skimmers at the docks.
bribing NPCs
being fined by NPCs

Stealing from NPCs is another faucet and NPC thieves is another sink.

Also multiple post. Oops.
