Out of the blue, I don't stay logged into the GDB. Have tried both login locations and no difference. I have to login every time I visit the boards. Any ideas?
This is happening to me, too.
It's been logging me off as well but I don't mind. My browser remembers my login info, so I just have to cursor over the login name box, select which GDB name I want to log in with, and hit the enter key. Basically the same thing as when it would log me in automatically, but I wanted to use the other GDB name for that session.
Might be a security change the staff made (remember there was a post about that with recent updates).

Jinxed,
Do you have cookies enabled in your browser? Remember me relies on cookies being enabled.
Sessions automatically expire after a given time for security reasons. That's also another thing to bear in mind.
Your Bug / Typo / Idea request has been resolved.
Cookies are enabled, obviously.
Sometimes it logs me out mid-posting, because reasons.
Mildly annoying.

Same problem here.
I guess we might as well try to look for similarities meanwhile.
Win 7, firefox.
This might give staff a clue? Maybe? I noticed that the gdb is no longer considered secure for some reason and chrome seems to hate it on my phone. It will at least let me on with my computer.
Chrome hates it on my phone as well, keeps saying it is unsecure as well.
I have Windows 10 and use IE.
So the problem may be 3rd party resources being loaded on the page. Images like the voting buttons and user avatars are technically being accessed from their original locations (mudconnect, imgur, etc). This makes browsers unhappy because they've been told this is supposed to be a secure website but the SSL certificate can't vouch for these images.
EDIT: to be more precise, the 3rd party content is being served from unsecured (HTTP) URL's. Should be a simple fix for the voting buttons (just change the resource to https instead of http). I have no idea if SMF can automatically do the same thing for forum avatars and other content.

It is exactly that. I changed one of the vote buttons to flash the current rank and that isn't served up via HTTPS. I may put it back though.

I thought the rank flashing was new.
Oh god it has gotten way worse. It asks for permission to come onto the GDB with every single page change now rather than just any time I change windows. If anyone has found a fix for this on phones for the love of god let me know.
So can we change back, please? I don't like all the warnings and having to log in every time just for a flashing button with a rank.
Yeah weird 'not private' warnings are a pain.
I guess I'm one of the few people not getting this? I haven't experienced anything like this of late.

Everything has been business as usual for me as well.

Anybody else having this same issue again? I am and its asking for permission every page change.
What will fix it is manually entering https:// before the forum url. So, https://gdb.armageddon.org/
Nope that didnt fix it. It keeps saying my connection is not private.
I get it too, running the latest Chrome browser. Maybe it's based upon geography or something?
Im using chrome on my phone. It could be that I have to update my phone though so I will when I get home.
I know with my recent home PC reformat, I'd been typing in "gdb.armageddon.org", which was NOT saving my login, but once I typed in https:\\ it logged me right in.

Did you make sure there is an s after http?
Yeah I did, the issue isnt so much im not staying logged in so much as everything is messing up because the site is apparently unsecure.
