Title: Does sparring a dummy really improve skills?

I believe the previous answer given was only to the very basic levels of proficiency.  I'll see how my search-fu is doing today.

Hrm. That's too bad. If only it would help up to Jman, it would definitely motivate.

No, that's bad because.... Uh... reasons and things. Can't have those clanned players getting anywhere near as decent as an indie I guess.

If you're a 'giker with novice weapon skills, poor agility and high wisdom, then maybe you can get to mid-apprentice tops.

Well, that's disappointing. Wouldn't explain all the extra sparring on the dummy. You'd at least expect SOME improvement.
