I have an idea.

This is a cistern and it holds liquids.
Its full of a clear liquid.

>sip cistern
You sip from the cistern.

>exam cistern
This is a cistern and it holds liquids.
Its almost full of a clear liquid.

---------------------------------------
>exam pool
This is a pool in a cave or sheltered area and it holds liquids.
It is about half full of a greyish liquid.

>drink pool
You drink greyish water from the pool.

>exam pool
This is a pool in a cave or sheltered area and it holds liquids.
It holds a small amount of greyish liquid.

This doesn't already happen with "look in pool" and "look in cistern"?

The 'exam' command scares me, because I never use it.

But I'm confused: how is this different than how things are now?

(Also you can do 'ass -v pool' to get the level.)

I... didn't even know there was an examine command. I've always used assess and look, for everything.

If I'm being honest I'm not sure what this would add.

Right now you can only see if it's above or below half full. This would add 2 more options for more granularity.
