Lag?

That happens to me - can do everything but torrent. Torrent or steam downloads slow me to a crawl. It's probably something to do with my new router.

On the plus side my Diablo 3 games don't lock up and spamminate any more. Much.

I've been getting an awful slowing in the text received for like, a day or two now, anyone else?

This is my problem.

I've decided that this simply has to do with a certain hop I am hitting getting VERY busy during peak times, as I am only affected during peak times it seems.

The newest greatest pron site must have just went up in the last couple of weeks and one of my hops apparently is a hot stopping place along the way to it.

It's not that different, though. I'm guessing all the people with this issue don't share the same ISP or ISP carrier or something like that. Which would mean if it's a network issue, which it probably is, it almost has to be something with XO?

This is my guess after looking at only 1 traceroute and spending about 30 seconds thinking. I'm sure someone on Staff has done much more digging.

EDIT:
You do notice though, that you and I hit "edge-10" and your response is 203ms and mine is 39.5-47.9, this is a big difference.

Another possible solution is we had a similar issue one time at my company, and it ended up being QoS configuration on a hypervisor. "edge-10" is obviously not on a hypervisor, it's likely a router, but routers also have QoS settings. I still blame XO/Interserver networking configuration somewhere.

I had problems around that time... Unfortunately I didn't capture anything that looked wrong on MTR, I know of the 6 people in the area with me at least 4 of them had problems.

There are definitely some internet routing issues going on at the moment.  We are troubleshooting what we can, but the issue does seems outside of the network that is hosting Ginka.  Some people are still connected but many are seeing issues.

First time I have encountered some really terrible lag. Appears AT&T backbone leaving Florida, an L3 hop coming off Verizon network, causing a bit of trouble. Argh.
