I once played a gypsy teenager for a period of just a few weeks.  My stats were horrible, but during my brief time in the Tan Muark I was constantly penniless, destroyed at least three tables (one by dancing on it), was arrested thrice, banished twice, and made one death defying solo journey through the desert by erdlu, fleeing from gith and raptors the entire way before staggering to safety with something like 30 hp.

I'm not sure but I think I might have also exasperated some people.

I actually did exactly the same thing, except I destroyed children and was never arrested.

I remember both those characters.  They drove my character to drink..not a very hard thing, after all.  They were "related."

I've come to the conclusion that relaxing is not the lack of doing anything, but doing something that comes easily to you.

Alright, I'll admit it. I destroyed the CAM twice, with two different characters. I've seen the posts and the questions regarding, 'What every happened to .. ", well it was me. Wasn't anything personal, well, no that's a lie: the first time was definitely personal and was in response to an old assassination attempt. The second time, though, the one that stuck , that wasn't personal, promise. Just happened to have been consistently placed upon the opposing side, against the power-rangers of Allanaki mages.

Note: This isn't in the shame thread, because I never said I was sorry.  :)

Quote..I killed multiple Delerak incarnations with my first Soh as I was trying to get the tribe started years ago.

He kept coming in, picking fights with the tribe and losing fatally with various PC's.

Ha, he did the same thing against the tribe I was making, which sadly never really got off the ground.
She wasn't doing a thing that I could see, except standing there leaning on the balcony railing, holding the universe together. --J.D. Salinger

My first character living three RL months and succeeding in getting enslaved by a raiding elf and drug to Tuluk.  I had been told I could have a job with Salaar if I found some flint.  Having no idea as to how to find flint, upon being drug to Tuluk I was sold to a Faithful Lord.  I walked around barefoot and starving and happened to find a pack with food and one piece of flint.  I then shamelessly spam walked back to Allanak, gave the piece of flint to the Salarri and told him the whole story.  He didn't believe me, and hired me.  I died to a gith with maces, not realizing maces took off stun.

Getting flung across the world by a scary, infamous witch NPC and then while pregnant, dying of thirst, hallucinating and with my adopted kiddo PC freaking out in my head being rescued from a chasm across the world Indiana Jones style with halflings on our tail, shooting poisoned darts and all of us completely lacking of the climb skill - actually surviving that by like a handful of HP.

Getting to play an exiled bard.

Playing a thief that stole from Sharlo Kadius' boss and having my baby kidnapped before I (briefly) became a fugitive and realized just how much you don't fuck around with assassins.

Playing a gambling addict that actually got to steal from her friends to keep the addiction going, and had the worst luck of any character I've ever had by sheer miserable chance.

I once codedly kicked Gage Gritshaw by accident with a character that didn't even have the kick skill while trying to use the dump command.

I once found and got addicted to a powerful magick item and eventually got myself and my mate killed over it after handing it off to the Plainsman.

As a Byn Sergeant, with my right hand man in the Byn reciting a scene from Pulp Fiction almost to the letter in a completely IC way.  (Do I look like a whore to you?  Say what one more krath damned time!)

Resisting the urge to scream in the arena, "I am Buckle Irofel.  Wife to a murdered mate.  Mother to a murdered son.  And I will have my revenge in this life or the next, are you not entertained!?"

I saw Muk Utep IG a few times.  And a few other oh shit moments I've loved that other people probably wouldn't give a crap about.  :)

I had a 6 day warrior who survived attacking his whole Byn unit while out on contract.

Mind you, someone else had gotten on my computer after I got up to go get something to eat. But, you know. He still survived. There was a half-giant in that unit, too.

I played a character that petted a bahamet and sang it a lullaby.

I played a character that jumped from Shield Wall height to save an injured bird.

I played a character that was effectively the locomotive on the Zalanthas version of a bullet train (takes a few magickers working together and is damn hilarious when you picture it this way instead of what it really looks like IC).
"I am a cipher, wrapped in an enigma, smothered in secret sauce."
- Jimmy James, the man so great they had to name him twice

I once caught a fish THIS big, and then it killed and violated my PC in a simultaneous fashion.

Heh, Rannick fucked that one.

lulz.

I was playing a character who could see in the dark during the HRPT when there was no daylight in Zalanthas,

and I walked around the world then feeling like a badass and HOPING,

hoping,

that Krath would stay down for a long long time.

Unfortunately, it came back all too soon : /

Hah. Riddick FTW.

Until someone mentioned Ehrick punching Paryl in front of Samos, I'd forgotten this, but...

Thrend had a habit of doing whatever he could to piss off people in authority. He sent Ehrick down for that delegation, and in the process made him a commoner (since, to Lyksae, commoner and slave Warriors were virtually the same in terms of loyalty). He did it entirely for the annoyance factor (imagining--correctly or no--that it would stick in the craw of Samos, Mallor, Paryl, etc. that this guy was a slave only weeks before by their reckoning). He was sent along with the full expectation on Thrend's part that it would result in some kind of incident.

Is it true that Ehrick was a first character?
Varak:You tell the mangy, pointy-eared gortok, in sirihish: "What, girl? You say the sorceror-king has fallen down the well?"

Third, if I remember right. One of my favorite characters to play with, and I'm glad I introduced that guy to Arm.

He came out with Thrend in the incredibly awkward meeting between him and the desert elves of the Elan Pah. (Or at least, he was the escort...I don't remember if he was in on the meeting. I've got a log somewhere of it.) Thrend didn't really believe they were all abominations, despite intelligence pointing to this (imo, my favorite part of playing a low wisdom character). The discussion with Ehrick afterwards was memorable.
"They were all fucking abominations."
"Yes, fa'kir."
"I'm going to destroy all of them."

Ehrick was a great character that made my work with Thrend look way better, and I can't give him enough credit.

To stay on topic with this being a brag thread...um...

Thrend tried to trap Sharak Dragonsthrall, but before doing that, negotiated for the Allanaki templar medallion from him. The medallion was later used as decorative work for a mastercraft mace order...it's in that really great artwork piece that Biscuits made.

Ehrick was a third character?  I never knew!  Their player was that good!

I still remember a conversation had upon a wagon ramp between him and three gypsies.

I remember that. Thrend nor Ehrick ever actually did anything to Ghost or Venom of the Red Fang though, we made friends... or supposed friends. :3

While I missed that particular meeting, I gotta say some very nice, memorable stuff happened in that part of the Known in 07/08. My brag this time around? My PC at the time once had a conversation with a gimpka rat, and it was not a monologue.

I seem to recall this as well, I don't remember if my PC was there for it or your PC just told mine about it. Cool times.  8)

Miss those days.

Epic Elan Pah was epic.

I had an awesome pc then. I lost her while bioing on the north road. The first part of this statement is a brag.
Varak:You tell the mangy, pointy-eared gortok, in sirihish: "What, girl? You say the sorceror-king has fallen down the well?"
Ghardoan:A pitiful voice rises from the well below, "I've fallen and I can't get up..."

Once my char and a companion were walking on the North Road.  I had a plate of spaghetti on my desk, above my keyboard. My CRT took up most of my desk, so my plate hung over the keyboard a little bit.  A gith captain walks in and attacks my companion, and in my haste to type back gith, I hit my plate and knocked it down on keyboard, spilling everything. I still managed to type back gith though, and they were able to kill it, but most of my keys had a permanent orange tinge after that. :)

Maybe this should have been a shame...
"Daddy, I barfed in my mouth!"

At the time I was always bothered by the fact that Thrend didn't have the restraint to hear out Falcon when they met on the North Road.  I was thinking about handing over some Tor armors, Templar rings, etc..   But Thrend ruined that opportunity when he or one of his warriors (I don't recall which) attacked Falcon.  I would have enjoyed to see the expressions and thoughts of everyone in Thrend's caravan after the brief combat, but I wasn't willing to gamble survival if everyone else decided to attack.

I can't blame Thrend at all though.  I found myself in the shoes of a magicker-hating Jihaen a few months later whose philosophy torward magickers was kill first, question later. :)

On another note, I wish I could have seen the expressions when that half-giant Kuraci tried to subdue Falcon while he was in the Storm's End.  Those were always fun, tense times.  I had dreams IRL about templars trying to catch Falcon fairly frequently.

My favorite moment during that whole 07/08 mess was taking a cranky old man nap in Samos' bed, and then waking up to berate him about how stupid he was being.
