The Soundtrack of Zalanthas

I /think/ this goes here. If not, please put it somewhere else.

No, this isn't a thread featuring tribal bongo music and stuff that would probably actually be heard in Zalanthas.

I'm more interested in seeing what everyone thinks are good songs to listen to while playing Armageddon that give you a sort of feel of it all.

I think A Horse with No Name by America works nicely, especially if you imagine whatever mount you have replacing the word horse.

Kashmir by Led Zepellin, which is in my signature...

Lots of classic rock seems to work to me.

All I see turns to brown, as the sun burns the ground
And my eyes fill with sand, as I scan this wasted land
Trying to find, trying to find where I've been.

Sounds of betrayal or adventure are usually come to mind for me.

Combined together all I can think is the Kill Bill vol. 1 and vol. 2 OST.

And my eyes fill with sand, as I scan this wasted land

Pretty much anything by Hossam Ramzy. I love the song Kashmir by Led Zeppelin, it's one of my favorite songs, but the tribal and percussion sound of Hossam Ramzy and similar artists (like Shiva in Exile) are way more immersive for me, because by hearing what I might hear in Zalanthas, it's easier to project myself there.

What is honor compared to a woman's love? ...Wind and words. Wind and words. We are only human, and the gods have fashioned us for love. That is our great glory, and our great tragedy.

Howabout some music from my backyard?  I have lots recored but I don't know how to get it onto the internet. So I just found this one on Youtube.

At your table, the XXXXXXXX templar says in sirihish, echoing:
"Everyone is SAFE in His Walls."

For some reason I always think of this.

He is an individual cool cat. A cat who has taken more than nine lives.

"I have seen him show most of the attributes one expects of a noble: courtesy, kindness, and honor.  I would also say he is one of the most bloodthirsty bastards I have ever met."

I'd be pretty content if I could find one continuous version of this entire soundtrack, not just a playlist of individual tracks with ads sprinkled here and there.

Why can't kanks clap?
Because they're dead.

I like listening to the O Brother Where Art Thou OST while I play.

Particularly the first song from the first scene of the movie, Po Lazarus. It's fantastic as a background song to foraging in the blistering Suk-Krath rays.

To get into the 'Sneaky Prowling Pimp' mood...

I just can't get into that song no matter what. However, when I play a drunkard or a bum, (which I usually do) Candy Mountain is where it's at.

I'm just looking for a general consensus. Or Moe's opinion. Either one generally can be accepted as canon.

I still think the best closure you get in Armageddon is just moving on to the next character.

Whenever my character reaches the top of a certain place in the game:

Good traditional / folk pieces include Le Yare by Yalda Abassi, some of the songs by the Mehr Ensemble, Dombra by Arslanbek Sultanbekov and most songs by Altai Kai (for the Grey Forest / northern steppes). Also, this piece of Armenian music might be suitable:

More modern pieces include Kiss Kiss by Tarkan and Nour El Ain by Amr Diab.

My "T'zai Byn Suicide Mission" music is often the full soundtrack to Predator. 32 Tracks of about 2-4 minutes each generally lasts enough for even the longest mission. The perfect blend of creepy suspense and heart-pumping action for any mystical spider/Tuluki/magick kill 40-90% of the PCs staff plot!!

Also for any gladiator battle in the Arena:

This is for those times when you're having mud sex... or breaking into a noble estate and hoping the guards are not suddenly animated to be more intelligent... or twinking up your combat skills during off off peak times with some questionable gameplay!

Tool's Undertow is the official Arm soundtrack. Specially in the sewers. Everything else sucks.
We were somewhere near the Shield Wall, on the edge of the Red Desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

As in the song, or the entire album?

Because both are fucking awesome.
