Come join me

Anyone who has read more than two of my posts will know that I think elves are cool.

Know what is really cool though?

Chinese Thracian Jewish tribal celves.

After three months of waiting patiently and not so patiently, I will be accepting three people to app into a city elf tribe based in Allanak proper.

People who want a chance to be a part of this can pm me right here, with the following information:

- Timezone
- Some kind of assurance you'll be decently active at least
- Your thoughts on what you would like seeing in a celf tribe
- Any possible open extended subguild slots you may have
- Any and all questions of your own about this role

If you want to send in a sample character, that is fine, too, but do realise that I have some very extensive documentation written up for these elves, and that chances are you may need to edit much.

Since the majority of information on the tribe is in the documents I wrote up, I want to end this post by saying that I have put a lot of effort into this, and intend to make this tribe last a good while. If you feel up to the challenge that is playong celves of any kind, please do send a pm.

I can't join you at the moment, but I'm excited to see you finally post this!  :)

I should have some measure of time to kill your PC and force you to be able in that case!

All the world will be your enemy. When they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you; digger, listener, runner, Prince with the swift warning. Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed.

When you say jewish, /how/ jewish do you mean?

He probably means his docs are about as long as the Old Testament.

Oooooh, shiny city elf tribe. Glad this finally got through processing. But, I'm not going to steal a limited slot while I'm only barely playing the game and also still have a decent character.

What I'm really curious about is if this clan hires other elves and if they can eventually join the tribe. Then it doesn't really matter, I'll get to ya'll eventually.

Krath, way too many docs to read through. I'd rather play than read about what I'm playing. Have fun for those who do try though.
I am unable to respond to PMs sent on the GDB. If you want to send me something, please send it to my email.

I recall that part of the deal of these player driven tribes is that one is not allowed to allow new blood into the tribe.
Sometimes, severity is the price we pay for greatness

Though there is a way for the tribe to actually recruit people, and it makes a lot of IC sense for them to do so, I can't do so until staff either relaxes its policies or I get lucky and get waived.

I think I remember staff saying something along the lines of; If you make a new tribe under this new procedure we have, and get the the point where you're established enough and played well enough, staff might accept the idea on a case by case basis.

Might be mincing words or outright misremembering though.

I have all of one spot left for this. Message me, and it might be yours!

I hope whoever apps in is in your clan, whitt. We'll kill you first.

Some good apps have come in, but it's not too late at all to still poke me and see what's up

You should post a snippet of your docs that isn't too secret, or a part that you find really interesting to show what your tribe is sorta about, I think.
"When I was a fighting man, the kettle-drums they beat;
The people scattered gold-dust before my horse's feet;
But now I am a great king, the people hound my track
With poison in my wine-cup, and daggers at my back."

Please do, so I know which celf tribe to murder.

JK.

It'll probably be the only celf tribe IG, anyway. Easy to figure out.

I still think the best closure you get in Armageddon is just moving on to the next character.

I just wanted to post and thank everyone who sent me PM's in support of putting up this call but couldn't apply for various reasons of their own. It's clear a lot of people want to see ths happen, even if a lot of people are otherwise engaged.

Yes, you can let people know general things in a PM or e-mail with more information/details on the documentation...if they are interested in the role and need more details.  You may not post it on the board.

Now its elves are hard, breeds are boring and humans are what I play because nothing else seems as appetizing.

Saellyn has a mantra of not ever playing elves, you'd have to be really convincing.

Well, I would be, but Nyr won't let me send in docs unless people actually personally ask to apply.

I don't love c-elves. I love that you're making an effort to make an experience that can be frustratingly hard or lonely good. There's a lack there and you're filling it. It would be fun to be a part of that.

I may need to start sending people documentation emails so they can put in apps of their own

I hope this will serve as an encouragement for anyone toying with the idea of making up their own tribe. If we have more than one tribe around, people just might stop and start viewing celves as not just vermin, but confusing and dangerous vermin.

I agree.  I certainly hope player-supported city elf tribes remain a thing.
Congratulations and good work, Patuk.

I agree as well. Too often they're viewed as the dog to be kicked to liven things up. Well, things are, about to get livelier.

I finally have three people to fill up our ranks, and so this tribe is allowed to support new blood no longer. Thank you to all who applied, and everyone who expressed support, too.

The more people you have in your tribe, the stronger your claim to the squatter's dens around the world is.

Does that count?

Smart ass. You know what I mean.

Sometimes, severity is the price we pay for greatness

The last elf PC family/tribe I saw used apartments.

Back then it was a wee bit easier to do because you could have 3 renters in certain apartments. I guess now they'll just have to operate two of them.
