Must look both look both ways (e.g. east and west when walking north from south) when crossing major roads or else risk a "run down by argosy" roll.

This would only nab the noobs. Pros look every direction per room. Even the one they just came from.

No, -especially- the room they just came from.

??? Those directions don't exist.

Special app a bishop.

All stock emotes such as "nod", "kiss", and "laugh" are now hemotes.

Wow, I just got this. I was thinking a Catholic in a hat the whole time wondering how that made any sense.

No, no, the point was to say "special app a catholic."

The problem was with the word "bishop," when "pope" was truly what was meant.

We all know the pope is a powerful defiler.

I am so not catholic, and have very strong (negative) feelings about the current pontiff, but I still think this picture probably takes things a little too far.
"I have seen him show most of the attributes one expects of a noble: courtesy, kindness, and honor.  I would also say he is one of the most bloodthirsty bastards I have ever met."

Eh, you've honestly seen nothing yet if you consider that offensive.

I suppose this is where we agree to disagree on humor, and...

Back on topic!  Weeeeeee...

  • New feature:  All creatures will have obsidian coins on their person, amount suggestive of their overal difficulty.
  • Players can now buy special hats for their characters, at 5USD a pop.

Edit: Woops.

The typo in your post really made me question the first idea long enough for it to not be that funny anymore :-\

As a bad idea of my own, I say we add vampires to the game. Vampirism makes you ageless and allows you to mudsex anyone at will and free of charge, and sunlight will make you sparkle prettily instead of making you die a painful death.

They've already come and gone, can't remember what they were called though.

Implement a pay-for-karma system and raise the karma cap to 15, with sufficiently powerful classes/perks at those karma levels for the players who reach them.

The karma cap for non-paying players is still 7, though.

At least it'd make it a lot easier to hate gickers and exotic races, under the operating assumption that they've got the money to pay-to-play.

Bad idea. But isn't the normal karma cap 8?

I was quite aware of that and my "Bad idea" response was me playing along with the title of the thread and its contents. Was just making sure about the cap though, as there have been misconceptions about it, every now and then.

Actually, I do not think that would be a bad idea at all.

Except, of course, for the poor staffers who would have to rewrite every boot in game as two objects...
