So I noticed that peak time player counts are down to the mid-40's again this week.

It's about school, you guys. Haven't we had this discussion before, where I edumacated y'all about them thar numbers? Yeah, we have. We're always low this time of year...we'll bounce back a little bit around winter break...then it's back to the doldrums until May.

I have seen both odd and even numbers, and always nonnegative.

i was one of those players probably. I start playing and its like... 3-12.. when I log off.. 60ish.. trials of being off-peak

Actually...if you were familiar with the numbers as I am you'd know that we typically have a bit of a bounce up over the holidays / winter break, because students are less busy and thus have more time to play ARM. (People who work, too, may have a little extra time to play during this period as they take vacation time. I do.) You can see this beginning to happen already; our unique player numbers are up to 288 this week, which is about 20 more than we've been running lately. We may even hit up around 300 again after finals are over, and through the middle of January.

Also of note in the numbers...lots of storages this week, which I interpret (along with the bounce in numbers) as players who haven't played in a little while coming back to play fresh characters. And a comparatively high number of character applications as well (looks like about 30 more than recent average). So I think it's safe to say the next month to six weeks should see nice fat player counts happening.
