What you need to know about whips:

They are long and sometimes they are short.
You can use them to hit things that you would not normally be able to.  (Sometimes you can use other things to hit things that you would not normally be able to.  See:  rocks, swords, daggers, knives, Amoses.)
You can swing across subterranean chasms, except for those rare occasions when you misjudge your jump and swing, and your double-crossing partner decides to leave you hanging on the chasm wall instead.
You shouldn't post about game mechanics like X branches Y, or D is Y type of weapon.
