Imagine you, wanting to play a slave.

;D

Shut it.

It wasn't that kind :P
You know you've raised a nerd when your five year old answers the question "Do you know what gymnastics are?" with "Dungeons and Dragons?"

It's never too late to live happily ever after.

Bwahahaha.

I begun when I was 15. 16 now, and I'm hoping I get to play Armageddon (or Arm.2) for a long time to come.
LOL WAT?

I can just see is all in forty years showing up at APMs all wrinkly and shit.. ;)

1997 - I was 17.

Dropped it for a goodly ten years (with a brief two month resurgence in 2004).

My partner is so excited.

I discovered MUDs (Dragonrealms, God help me!) when I went to work for AOL right after they went unlimited. That was 12 years ago so I was 28, I think. (I got to play DR for free! Woo!) For some bizarre reason I continued to play even after I had to pay for it... I had no idea there were free ones out there! Then a friend of mine turned me onto another free MUD and from there (due to the constant admonition to VOTE!) I found the topmudsites... and decided to try Arm. At the age of 37 or 38, because now I'm 41 and without being able to go back and check for sure I think I've been playing about 3 and a half years.

I started MUDding about 12 years back on AOL also.  First DR then Terris and yes I paid for Terris went AOL started to charge as well.

I was 12, actually - 18 now.

-18?

How did you manage that?

Er, losing a LOT of characters to rash things and losing a lot of social life.

I started Arm when I was about 16-17 (22 now). But I discovered MUDS and the wonderful world of RP when I was 10-11ish. Not sure how I coped without Arm, I spent about 5 years trying inject RP into hack&slash play.

Hey!  Thanks for making me feel young again.  38 when I started.  1 year in.

I actually thought you might help me figure it out.

I started playing in '01, but I forget my age at the time. Or my age now, for that matter.

Must be the alzheimer's setting in.  ;D

I was 36 at the time...I think.

Armageddon is best when it's actually harsh and brutal, not when we're only pretending that it is.

I was 15 and Arm was my first MUD.  I am now 24 and Arm is still the first MUD I've (seriously) played.

I was 16 when I first played Arm. 20 now.

I was 22 when I started playing Arm, but my first MUD, EmeraldMUD, I remember playing as early as 7th grade.

Masks are the Armageddon equivalent of Ed Hardy shirts.

I was 13 when I played my first mud, which was Altered Reality (ar.static.net, god help it).  I played around on that intermittently until I was about 16.  At 16, I had a very brief stint on Dragonrealms.  Followed by a long hiatus from MMORPGs in general.  A matter of weeks ago, I decided to start playing a mud again.  I turn 21 in a week.

And so far I'm quite pleased!

I was 15 when I first heard of Armageddon, but got bored of description writing. 5 lines of description?! 22 when I finally submitted that desc :P

Clans can give stat bonuses and penalties, too. The Byn drop in wisdom is particularly notorious.

Got introduced to the game and muds in general by my roommate  in 2000 when I was 14 or 15 , and have worn out many a keyboards since that day.

You send to staff:
"Welcome to Armageddon."

Started playing at age 10, played DarkTower alot too in my early days....now 19 and belong exclusively to Club Arm.
