..but it's been much too long since I last played a wildie-character; what's the command to pick a plant of it's bounty?

Try examining the plant.

If that doesn't give you a hint of what to do, try to 'break' it.

If that doesn't work, try 'pick <keyword>'

Don't try pick <keyword>, it'll tell you you're picking a lock, though it will be awkward, yet hilarious, if anyone comes across you.

Do pick <item> <keyword>

pick fruit bush
Child, child, if you come to this doomed house, what is to save you?

A voice whispers, "Read the tales upon the walls."

Usually looking at the plant will tell you if you can break it for bounty, also sometimes you can try to look IN plant for help too!
A single death is a tragedy, a million deaths is a statistic.  Zalanthas is Armageddon.

To expound on using 'pick' to get something from a plant.

If you look at or examine a plant, it will tell you that something can be picked.  If so, it will tell you what can be picked.  At this point you would, as others have said do the following:

> pick (pickable) (plant)
Quote from: MalifaxisWe need to listen to spawnloser.
Quote from: Reiterationspawnloser knows all

Quote from: SpoonA magicker is kind of like a mousetrap, the fear is the cheese. But this cheese has an AK47.

Exa plant

pick <whatever> plant

g <whatever> plant

break plant

g plant

That covers just about all you can do to a plant.
Any questions, comments, or condemnations to an eternity of fiery torment?

Waving a hammer, the irate, seething crafter says, in rage-accented sirihish :
"Be impressed.  Now!"
