I think it depends on you're character. If you're character has good slashing weapons skill, use swords. Piercing use spears. E.T.C

Defintly wooden. A few days ago, I was carrying a large bit of wood into my house, and accidentaly, hit my light, and guess what it was made of? glass.  Result: glass shattered all over me, and I had to wear an bandage over my arm for IRL. Wooden is much more stronger, and durable. Also, if the opponent has armor, and you're using an obsidian blade. It's gonna brake. Period.
