When you're at -3 you're still alive but hrrm - maybe "mortally wounded?" or "near death" I can't remember which. I think near death.

In any case, if you're that badly injured you really should be roleplaying the injury.  Chances are, you're so beaten up, or dying of thirst (both will reduce your HPs pretty badly) that you can't walk, and you'd be practically crawling to find help or some way of getting healed. OR...you would simply pass out (type sleep) because of the unbearable pain. Passing out will eventually restore your HPs - but try to take into consideration where you are when you're doing it and how you roleplay doing it before you type the command. You probably wouldn't wanna pass out in front of a templar, or in a fancy shop or tavern, or out in the middle of the desert with a gith 2 rooms away.

Oh and remember "wake" will wake you up once your HPs are back to something reasonable

Are you sure it wasn't -3 stamina?  I've had odd situations where I was in negative stamina.  Which makes for a funny 'assess -v' response of 'You are dead.'  That was 2 years ago, though.

If, in the future, you are conscious while at negative hit points, please wish up about this situation so we can fix this situation.

You can use the 'wake' command to wake up when your STAMINA (not hp) is close to full.  Before then, you will still be too tired to wake up.

Last night I had a dream....and this dream I was wandering the rinth with a buddy of mine...and note we were rinthers so this wasnt anything extreme.

Then...a big fancy car (40s style.) enters from the south. leaves to the west.  we follow it.

dude gets out of the car.  assess -v him.   He was walking around dead.
It was intresting. I dont remember what happened but the ohter dude got the hell out of there....  Then I realized how weird it was that he had a car...that can't be right.
