Visualizing Zalanthas..

I'm a huge fan of Mathieu Lauffray (ever sense I read his graphic novel, The Oath of Amber.. really arm-y and cool and adaptable). Was looking through the novel again w. an animator (trying to CON-vince him into doing a feature version of it...) and I realized how much some of his work reminded me of arm in general.

If you like his work, click here to his own page.

An archer overlooks travelers who meander through the canyons of waste...

Gortok

A skimmer captain in the tavern at Red Storm (probably eyeing some whore)

A hungry party of halflings (i wish i started this game early enough to play them  :( )

a Nilazi rises under the low hanging Lirathu

Anyway he's a great artist that does great work (IMO)
Czar of City Elves.

Awesome. There is something about the French that makes them great comic artists.

A day in Allanak (although x10 more populated)

How I see the Tablelands (more arid though)

I miss Tuluk....

Wow, amazing find, Dakota. Those capture the mood of Armageddon perfectly.

Another Lauffray:

A cornered gladiator

I was digging through movies and found that Once Upon a Time in the West is currently online streaming on netflix, if you have a subscription.

I highly recommend watching this one. Lots of inspiration for red storm/ Luir's roleplay, plus lots more for aspiring raiders. It runs a little long but trust me, the first 15 or so minutes will pull you in even if you aren't a raving Western movie fan (which I am not).

Haha, I was sold as soon as I saw that the squeaking in the background for the first 20 mins was a windmill. :D

He just needs a spear... ;D
The sound of a thunderous explosion tears through the air and blasts waves of pressure ripple through the ground.

Looking northward, the rugged, stubble-bearded templar asks you, in sirihish:
     "Well... I think it worked...?"

No... dual maces.

That's like three wagons lashed together. Perfect!

Between the Red Desert and the Scrub Plains:

I always imagine the area East of Tuluk to look something like this, but less plains, with the background having trees (north), the occasional tree + plus Tuluk (west), the mountains (east), and drier and drier plains as it goes south.

Krathi vs. dujat worm
That'd be closer to a salt worm, guy.

I picture dujats as more as short, fat grubby, looking worms.

And a reference for the Red Storm version:
