Anyone meetup online?
« on: April 03, 2020, 08:33:41 AM »
Due to the state of the world, I noticed a lot more things going virtual.  Such as the cons/meetups for people in my industry.  Just wondered if anyone thought of doing an online Arm meetup?

There’s the Official Discord Server, but I’m not aware of any video meetings.  Could be interesting...
You know I think if James simply retitled his thread "Cheese" and apologized for his first post being off-topic, all problems would be solved.

Oh man,

A virtual Armageddon Player's Meeting.

I'll be down.  I love showing off my kitty cat during the video conferencing meetings.

We used to do stuff similar to that years ago. That's why I used to think Yam was Russian and also didn't own shirts.

Meet online with a community that seems to take pleasure in crass bullying, belittling, clique formation, favoritism and forcefully held political opinions? No thanks. I can barely tolerate you all via the GDB, I can't tolerate the discord server anymore, and I honestly advise newcomers to reconsider participating in getting to know this community any more.

Use this time to connect with someone in your life who won't knowingly use you for personal gains, which could likely be found anywhere but this community.

I will stick to killing and mudsexing you bastards in game.

Timing it may be hard on my end, but I might be able to take part if we set a time.

Harmless, I would have a hard time saying you’re wrong, exactly, but I think there are many good things about this community, too: intellect, passion, creativity, drive...

If the bad overruns the good for you, there’s no harm in taking small bites.  But I find it’s helpful to approach it sometimes with the attitude, ‘They may be bastards, but they're our bastards.’  ;D

Apparently, Skype can host up to 50 people in a video conference.

Yeah sure.
And then I sat there going "really? that was it? that's so stupid."

I still think the best closure you get in Armageddon is just moving on to the next character.

Is this today? Not that I want to participate. I want to do what I always do at parties. Stand in a corner, listening to the conversations, but not actively contributing.
Masks are the Armageddon equivalent of Ed Hardy shirts.
