Sometimes after losing a character, it's good to step back and try another role.. but how long should one wait before aiming to join a clan that they have played in the past? Is there a certain time limit?

There isn't any set 'rule' that we enforce that says you can't rejoin the Byn if your last Byn runner died to a mek stomp. Obviously, though, we prefer that generally if you've been playing in a clan for a while/have developed a lot of connections in that clan that you wait around 2 PC's, or if you go through PC's really quickly - a couple of months. If you type up 'help rules' IG this is what you'll get:

 5. We may ask a player to take a break from a certain clan, clan group, or
group of players if we feel that a player is repeatedly attempting to play
with the same set of players across multiple characters in a manner that
breaks other rules. We may also ask a player not to play a guild or subguild
for a certain period of time. If a player chooses to ignore such a request,
their character will be stored on the first occurrence, and will be banned
for a month on the second.
