What'd I Miss?

I gleaned a few tidbits of gossip IC as to what the spectacle was all about (HRPT) but can't seem to find out any more than that.  It would be nice for some of the village/outpost boards to have a small remark or two on what global impact there may have been, for those of us who shy away from city-states and dwell in more remote areas.

This is actually a request to have bulletin board updates, if indeed the events were impacting on such a large scale.  I'm not actually asking you to tell me what happened on a discussion forum

Said information may take longer to reach a small village, and may degrade into sheerly speculative rumor, so you can probably think up info as good as what might show up there, anyway.
