Economy work in progress!

Ch-ch-changes!

As many of you no doubt know, the Armageddon economy has been long in need of some TLC to have it make more sense from the ground up. We're going to be tackling this a portion at a time. What does this mean to you?

Currently, we're working on the armor database.

- The selling/buying costs may change a little (or a lot)
- Items that were not previously craftable, will become so.
- Armor weight may go up or down, depending on item.

We wished to make you all aware beforehand so there wasn't some abrupt change on you all, nor lead to you all becoming concerned if things were bugged or not.

I'll be updating the post to reflect what portions are done and what are being worked on going forward as well.

Thank you all for your understanding and patience

Hold on to your hats, tailor sorts - Worn items are being worked over as we speak.

There has been a delay with weapons - although there has been work on them as well - but the main 'changes' you'll be seeing next will be with your various Indy/GMH garb.

Things to expect:

- more crafts
- prices being brought into line with materials
- changes in bonuses where applicable.

- As certain worn items are tied to "Treasure", IE: Gems - emerald, ruby, diamond: You all may see changes to prices of these items and potentially where they are found.

- Since gems are being reworked, you may further see changes to type Jewellery items as well.

- All three lists, worn/treasure/jewellery are being adjusted as I'm able. If you see oddities from one to the next, (price/crafts etc) please hold off until you see that one or all of the lists posted as "finished", as it may well be a case of my not having covered that item so far.

Again, thank you all for the patience with this overhaul!

Another random update:

- Roughly 400 jewellery updates/crafts and or fixes added.
- Roughly 1400 worn items updated.
- Roughly 400 "treasure" items updated.

Further, an assortment of shop merchants are under going changes. Certain NPCs have been buying or not buying things they should or shouldn't. For example, a certain Kadian shop didn't by anything in a certain location - They now buy clothing/jewellery, etc. On the opposite end of the spectrum, no - the food vendor will not longer buy jewellery or furniture.

Any/all items considered type "Treasure" have been updated.

Emme is 50% of the way through that hellishly long jewellery list as well!

I'll be helping on the jewellery front and/or carrying on with worn items.

Random update.

As mentioned elsewhere, the jewellery list is completed.

On worn:

750 done/updated as of today.

Yep, this is still going on, despite some radio silence on updates.

I'm down to roughly 300ish /craftable/ items left to go for worn items. Non-crafts have been semi-touched, but still a bit to go of the 4,300 obj long list.

Weapons have also been decided upon, and I'll be toying with those here and there as I get sick of/need a break from the worn lists.

One point of interest that I don't mind sharing with you all, when it comes to weapons - they're going to get /lighter/ in weight. Expect some play room to hit your stat score before too long.

Various RPTs, builds and being short on staff until recently slowed this down hard. Sorry, folks.

- Eeeeeeverything that can be crafted for clothing/worn has been updated as of moments ago. 1116 items total.

- Non-crafts exist and prices are pretty nuts in range. I'm plugging away at them.

- Weapons have started as well, as per the last update and (slow) progress is being made.

- Expect stat changes, as various and rather nonsensical bonuses have been removed.

Remember this thread? Well... Tuluk happened.

Anyway! On with the show in any real progressive sense.

- New materials are being made/added to skinnable mobs in order to facilitate better weapon crafting, spread of prices and "quality" pending strength of.
- Non-craftable worn items have largely been adjusted. Some are still pending.
- Various bonuses to items have been changed or done away with entirely where lack of realism or sense was found.
- CRAFTERS, start experimenting again. There are roughly 600 items that I've prepped for recipes between worn/armor that I'll chip away at by 20-50 a day with any luck. 20+ went in today as of writing this.

More updates to come once the above is finished.

- Roughly 200 more crafts added, with a big shout out to Aromit for pouring some time into it, as well.
- Crafts were for worn items - a lion share were Kadian, but new indy ones as well. (more still being made)
- Two new lists have been added and some tinkering has started, as well. Glass and drink containers.
- Glass will result in some Cenyr love, including updated merchants and materials to make sense of existing craft accessories. (partially started)
- Drink containers will be a new cost equation to reflect the actual value of the drink itself. (pending)
- NPC merchants may undergo fluctuation as prices are moved about to reflect the pricing we're aiming for. (partially started)

We'll put the biggest change at the top on this update, as it may be "Pretty shocking" for some in price change.

- Wood has been significantly changed and brought into a more standard sum, per area of the Known. Tuluk will see little change. Luirs will see modest change. Allanak and RSV will see massive change.
- Tents have been reworked.

Less impactful:

- More clothing crafts have been added.
- Nearly all furniture craftables have been updated and should be finished in the next few days.
- Furniture becoming a viable path for crafters/pclan is in the works. This'll be done through a plethora of new craft additions with sensible, smaller crafts, leading to the whole.
- Continued slow progress and adjustments to glass works, weapons, containers.

Hey wait, I am not Shabago, what am I doing here?

I went through arrows.  I made some changes.

-Cost.  Probably the smallest of changes, but did adjust outliers that were very high or very low.
-Weight.  This was a big one.  Or a heavy one, rather.  Adjusted the majority of arrows down to have a lower weight.  Most from .5 stones to .1 stones.  Yay Desert Elves, go get'em.
-Quality.  Nearly every single arrow was the same quality for awhile now.  This has been adjusted.  Some very popular, very cheap arrows are now lower quality.  Some other arrows are higher quality.
-Quality v.2.0 - For a few years now, arrow quality, rather than damage dice on the object, have controlled arrow damage.  And pretty much every arrow had the same quality.  See previous point.
-Quality v.2.1 - We'll see about getting a way for you to see the quality of arrows.

Bullets (for slings) are also now done.

In general, some forageable/crafted items had values well above where they were supposed to be.  So in general damage has gone down, until those levels of quality objs can be created in the appropriate places.

Hi. Remember me and this thread? Well, now weapons are done and coded, you lot can expect a whole bunch of cost changes to them.

This is also to serve as notice that their current value/cost is very not accurate/broken. I'll focus on fixing this as quickly as I may.

103 done as of posting this.
