The following reflects the opinion of the author. The author can offer no artcles of proof or evidence of scientific study.

More people need to make pc's named Amos. There should be four active Amoses on the mud at any given moment. Additionally half of all psuedonames should be Amos. Being Amos is to truly be Zalanthan.

No, it's an observation. It amuses me, but it's not crazy funny.

Oh come on!  Amos isn't even a Zalanthian name, its just a rarely used earth one.

I propose that anybody who names their character Amos can suck my left nut and burn in the hell-pits of Suk-Krath.

I think there was a time when there were like 5 active Amoses, and then the NPC outrider we all love to contact.

No, see it wasn't even a Zalanthan name, just a rarely used earth one and then there were like five active Amoses and an npc outrider and it became a Zalanthan name.

Amos reminds me of a New England farmer or crafter in the colonial era.

I tend to think of a single strand of moss, personally, then wonder why the hell I'm thinking of a single strand of moss.

P.S.  More Amos = good.  I had an Amos once.  It was sweet.  I always cackled to myself when someone contacted me when they meant to contact the other guy.

I say everyone who dies in the upcomming HRPT names their next character Amos!  Now we just have to convince one of the imms to put it in the MOTD.

That might keep the deaths down, and would be incredibly funny.

Amos the skinny but overdeveloped woman

Amos the bald, toothless old man

Amos the brown-haired child elf

Amos the scarred, granite-skinned dwarf

My favorite...

Amos the massive, blue-haired half-giant

They all have to join the Byn though. Just because.

Bumping this for 2017! If you haven't played a character named Amos then plan to do it this year. Everyone needs to have an Amos and or a Malik in their list of characters to make these names truly live up to their IC popularity.

Girl characters, don't forget you can be named Talia. Talia is the chick version of Amos.
Child, child, if you come to this doomed house, what is to save you?
